Had lunch today with out Rodgers Rangers Company.......and got to talking to our gun builder.'
He related that he's slowing down (70's) and isn't going to build any or at least too many more muzzleloaders.

Talked him into building me a French Dragoon Cavalry Pistol to match my Fusil....in .62 cal.

Will take him while, but worth the wait.

Gonna look kinda like this.....But in curly maple and steel furniture.

Talking with Gene.(my guy) he is finishing a matched pair of dueling pistols, and was relating how hard it was to get them both the same and he is doing most all the inletting and carving by hand.

Using like 16 different for one to the other measurements

I have a Lancaster .50 cal rifle of his as well.

My builder guy called last night, just finished and delivered a brace of dueling pistols, so can start on mine.

Parts are available and will put them on order today....barrel is made to order, and we discussed so carving on the wood.
Mailing out a deposit/parts check today.......
Looking forward to it.
