Another product of boredom and cold weather. I started digging in the parts bin and came up with enough goodies to build a gun.
Built as a "common rifle" of the colonial era.
The stock has been bouncing around the shop woodpile for 15 years and has been on three other builds.
The barrel is a .54 picked up as a raffle prize 20 years ago.
Butt plate was salvaged off a musket I had to part out.
Lock is a Siler. Set triggers were salvaged off a CVA that got scraped out sometime in the distant past.
It is still not finished and needs work on the sights.
If we ever thaw out I might get a chance to shoot it.
