    That would be the ones.
I went through quite a few of them over the years back then. I use to run traps before going to school every morning and it would be before daylight.

And God forbid you forget the D cells in the battery pack for any length of time. You'd find the most awful, corroded mess in the world. (I did that a time or two also).

What are you folks using for lighting around the campsite?

one of the ones i like the best is one of the key chain size - the inova - i have it on a lanyard i wear around my neck when i'm out of the house especially when working a night shift or out in the woods. they are so light you don't know they are there until you need them, and they put out a great amount of light, and best of all you always have it with you. i can't tell you the number of times out hunting all day until after dark and the only light we have with is the one thats always around my neck and tucked in my shirt. great items and cheap. you can almost buy a new light for what the batteries cost on the key chain size. the head lamps are also very nice. looking forward to buying a new one.

awfoxden - The one on my key chain kit is a Photon Freedom micro. It has variable levels of brightness from extremely dim to super bright. It even has a pre-programmed SOS flash built in as well as a strobe.

What are some opinions on some LED headlamps? I'm going to be looking into getting a new one in a few weeks. Would rather hear from folks that actually own the ones they are talking about.
