What other birds were you worried about to justify the caging? We don't have an abundance of birds despite having tons of food for them. Likely due to our colder winters.

we have TONS of wild turkey here, and if they eat the seed from the 'seng, no big deal, they will plant it for you later. Just one of several ways 'seng gets broadcast from place to place.
