    Gimmick. Now if the shell holder was a metallic sleeve that would direct the force behind the bullet instead of letting the case fail, it might have some penetration. Be more like a bang stick.

    Fact is that after reading all the reviews, seeing all the videos, and examining the principle behind the device I can not see a single situation where the use of this device would be considered legal by any state wildlife agency.

    My state strictly prohibits their use for hunting.

    And considering their erratic performance I can not see a person of normal intelligence using them in any situation that might be considered a survival emergency.

    I suspect I could get more uniform and effective performance from the same arrow using a broadhead made from a beer can pull tab!
    If you didn't bring jerky what did I just eat?
