    Default My First Segway Ride

    Mrs. Crash and I played hooky from working today and headed to Blue Springs State Park. We took the guided Segway tour (just the two of us plus the "guide"). We had a blast. Not too many pictures (fear of crashing) but took a few. We started on trails in an Oak Hammock and then to an open Savannah. Saw some Gopher Tortoises, a couple of White Tail Deer, lots of deer and bear tracks.

    That looks like it would have been lots of fun although I probably would have looked more like Rick's picture.

    Every time an older person dies, its like burning a full set of encyclopedias that will never be published again. So, if you ever want to learn more of anything, just find a old tradesman and hang out with him and then when he passes on, not the full set will burn, you'll have parts of it to pass on to others.

    Besides, in about 10 minutes you can train a bear to Segway in the woods. I thought everyone knew that.

    Cool Since the topic came up...

    My kid brother had a couple of those for awhile. Using foot controls to accelerate, etc. was a new one for me. He's since sold them and used the money to buy the land that we camped out on...better deal IMO...
