Default Police shoot and kill a man *graphic*

Police shoot and kill a man. For threatening to kill them with a knife and failin to obey commands. Not killed for illegal camping as all the hippies in the comments want to ***** about. I can't see where that can be mistaken, can you?

Yeah, it's fairly reasonable to believe a man with a history of assault with bladed weapons, who's response to arrest is to take a knife in each hand is a threat.

It's sad to see anybody killed, but these officers appear to be right in not taking the chance. There are enough incidents of it turning out the other way to get upset over as it is.

"As Boyd laid motionless on a rock with his face in a pool of blood, the police continued to bark orders at him before firing further rounds of non-lethal ammunition."

Huh,maybe they're azz backwoods gungho cops.

It could be, but from their position he was still wielding a weapon in each hand and it was not unlikely that he was still physically capable. Worse, that he was still physically capable and not mentally or emotionally sound.

I always want to see these conflicts resolved without injury, death or abuse, but this isn't one of those incidents which has my undies so bunched up, and some of you know me to get bunched up more easily than most about police violence.

It's a lose/lose if you ask me. Nobody won. I would never second guess a cop in that position. All I know is if someone were standing in front of me with two knives I'd probably be a lot more prone to shoot than not shoot.
