    That's pretty cool. When you get done with your candy wrapper you can just throw it in the floor. I mean, it is a dumpster.

    Hmm, I had an acquaintance who lived out of dumpsters on a trip across country one time (it's called "freegan") but they didn't live /in/ the dumpsters.
    True enough, my final home is still out there, but this is most certainly my home range and I love it. I love every rock I fall off and tree I trip over. Even when I am close to dying from exhaustion, a beautiful sunset doesn't lose it's power to refresh and inspire me and that, in itself, is enough to save me sometimes.

    I fail to see how this guy is making any meaningful contribution with this project. For one thing, it is bound to feel like an oven in there when exposed to the sunlight. Since I have often compared living in any large city to living in a dump, I guess this housing just cuts out the middle man.

    Our local morning news did a report on this the other day. You could plainly tell that they did not read the article - only looked at the pictures. The report was a lot of "ewwwwww - how do they sanitize it after all of that stuff has been in there".

    Although I don't think this is a option for most everyone.....I does show what Can be done.

    ....and if some one is whining about current accommodations.......It could be pointed out that a dumpster might be worse......LOL

    I think it was just an example what can be turned into an economical shelter space. If you put wheels on it and a hitch, it would be called a camper. Neat idea in my opinion.

    I agree it would need some sort of spray foam. I have lived in a connection unit and it gets hot with a/c.
