Freeze Dried fruit at Target

The better half asked (you know what I mean) me to take her to the local Super Target store on Saturday. I complied. While there I was browsing the grocery aisles and discovered they actually had Freeze Dried fruit (Archer Farms brand, Strawberries, Mangoes, Peaches, Apples, & Banannas) at this store in 1 oz. bags for $2.99! May not sound like much but it's a good deal, way cheaper than Mountain house etc. I bought one of each and sampled them once I was home. They rehydrated perfectly, excellent quality. Not practical for bulk storage, but great for adding to your oatmeal or granola on overnights or for snacking.

We survivalists are a strange lot but the mainstream stores seem to like our money. Seems like everyone is starting to carry freeze dried something.

I think we will see more of it as this year progresses, but heck, if it helps us prepare in some small way...

BTW, Target has a coupon on thier website for 50 cents off this freeze dried fruit, it's on page 10 of thier online coupons
