We sometimes have whales off the coast, here...but inland all we have is Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Southhampton, Isle of wight.....

There are plenty of other references, from back when we were just colonies. LOL

    Default Jmho

Italians playing rugby is a joke...surprised they even scored.
Wales...tough, strapping brawling men vs. Scotland...a bit more refined.
France vs. Ireland...no contest...Ireland wins by a lot.

    Any questions?

Winnie - back in the 70's I was stationed in Hawaii (yeah, it was tough, but somebody had to do it). Anyway - I lived in downtown Waikiki and my favorite hangout was a pub called the Rose & Crown. Played darts and sang around the piano on most nights. Every year there was some sort of Rugby tournament on the island where teams from around the world came to participate. When the tournaments were in town, the pub bought 3 or 4 extra pianos. It seems that when a winning Rugby team is having a good time they seem to celebrate by having a scrum with the piano. They always paid for the damages and were careful that none of us innocent bystanders were in the way. I think the record was 5 pianos in a week. Thanks for starting this thread and bringing back some fond memories from the past.

Sorry Bee, Final score Ireland 22. France 25. The game was rather broken, a lot of kicking and giving away posession.

Crash,I'm glad to remind you of some good memories. You've just reminded of me my rather misspent youth, I had fling with a Fijiian Scrum half...... Lovely man, 6'2" and looked rather fine in rugby shorts(or not).

I've been to a few International matches and always felt perfectly safe. Rugby fans are happy drunks*hic*
