Using a magnesium firestarter

My gripe with the mag bars is their size. So for kits I cut them in two.

Sawing the mag block in half creates a tremendous amount of mag shavings, which I save. I mix the shavings with my PJ & cotton balls. Quarenteed fire first strike!
