Default should probably be in general but

it's really mostly about survival questions that we get. Know what I'm thinking? We get these questions over and over again. Some people actually appreciate the responses they get and some people actually give us useful information so we can respond properly. Then there's all those others....and we start labeling them numpties or whatever, and yeah they're a pain in the butt, however, no one here is telling anyone not to go into the wilderness and try things. We do try to suggest they pick up a few basic skills if they don't have them. That's only common sense, I don't care what your experience, knowledge base or background is. Like Sarge says, this isn't about an extreme sport, survival is about life and death.

Then we get into all this infighting and name calling because someone picked on a newbie or someone didn't give someone else a chance. No one here really knows anyone else's background. I could have been lying through my teeth since I got here and never set foot off asphalt in my life. I haven't, but I hope whoever's reading this gets the point. I can usually tell who's buls**tting after a few posts and I generally skip them. But overall, if you don't like the things you're reading here...over and over again...DON"T COME HERE! Cripes how much brains does that take? The bull**it starts to get tiresome

That is the end of Trax's rant for today, we now return you to your regularly scheduled programs
some fella confronted me the other day and asked "What's your problem?" So I told him, "I don't have a problem I am a problem"

Actually, I found out a good deal of things,

-FACT- Wolf Pictures in your avatar are earned, not given
    -FACT- Dont Dis Sarge's Homie's
-FACT- If you lurk, you are apart of the " Numpty's "
-FACT- People actually believe that if you take nothing with you, that defines survival.
-FACT- Chuck Norris does not need to survive, he tells survival when to die.
-FACT- When asking a question, make sure at least one time to say you used the search tab and say you could not find anything on knives or survival.
-FACT- Even when intimidated, Mods will often still smell the buts of others in the pack.

    and last but not least,

-FACT- Come in here swearing to high hell that you have been through the whole survival experience up to the rescue, when really all you needed to do was admit that
you watched the whole 9 seasons of Star Trek the next Generation and came out alive with no food or water.

    Thats survival people!!

I've looked at pictures of the woods in books. I googled the word "woods" once. I even attended a story hour at the library on "Our Woodland Friends".

I agree with always learning and never stopping. There is so much to learn and you have a hard time remembering what you dont use. So with that being said you have to keep working hard to stay fresh and up on your skills.

Don't forget, S.A., you're one of my Homies too! Also, "numpty" means "idiot", not "lurker". Otherwise you're pretty much correct!

Uh, I heard of the Concrete Jungle, I believe that was a '50's movie featuring Glenn Ford and Sidney Poitier and is famous for being the first movie with a rock and roll soundtrack, Bill Haley and the Comets Rock Around the Clock....(how the *@#! did I remember that? Obviously, I'm in need of more liquor)
