    Mmmm,no one knows this one????

    It has medicinal properties,and it's the only plant I know of with a hunting season.

    I have no idea what it looked like, but knew Ginseng had a legal harvest season.

    It does now,but when I was growing up (wayyyy back then) you could hunt it any time.

    Last year it had a sell price of $750 a dry pound,not a bad paycheck,IF you can find it easily.

    I didn't answer because I happened to find this plant this past week-end. The berries were ripe and it was rather plentiful in the area. I had no idea what it was but took some pictures so I could look it up when I got home. You saved me the trouble. Great timing!!!

    I know of a couple of places in Northern New York that I can find ginseng... I had forgotten until I saw the pictures. And you're right...thems berries is nasty!!!

    A plant known as BUNCH BERRIES. usualy available in late fall.Bland, mushy,almost tastless, (abundance) uncommon, scattered. nice to see thoes again!
