How to Report spam

When you see a spam (or otherwise problem) post, the easiest way to report it is to click on the little yield-like-sign icon in the left column under the problem member's username. See it? It automates the process of notifying me exactly which post is a problem.

If it is one person with multiple posts, just leave a note to that extent and don't worry about reporting the others, just 1 report will be enough for all of their posts.

I Dont Know About The Rest Of You But I Am Reall Getting Tired Of Seeing Shoe Ads. When I Looked For The New Posts There Were About Fifteen And Only Two Of Them Had Anything To Do With A Topic Other Than Selling Shoes. I Am Not Very Happy.

Chris you really got to be online more often, the spam is taking over! Everybody’s getting annoyed because whenever we come to read the posts there’s spam on every topic. It’s a shame because this is such a cool forum and now it’s being invaded by spammers

My email was setup wrong so I wasn't getting the reports unfortunately. From here on out I will.

Its weird, this isn't the only forum I run, but I don't get near this volume of china-shoe spam on the other forums. Though, it could be worse. Nike spam is better than like nude Britney Spears or kiddie porn spam. If you gotta be spammed about something, shoes is a pretty benign topic.

I've already long since banned most of China, Korea, & Russia from this server , it just isn't worth it to let the few real people in when 99% of all spam comes from there.

.... the other thing about my email is now that it is setup correctly all the old messages are flooding in... include over 3000 spam emails....

Do you mean 3000 from spammers or 3000 from people reporting spam?

3000 from spammers... actually it was more like 3500. There were a solid 100 spam reports from you guys though.

I'm glad you fixed the glitch, Chris. Unfortunately we lost several members over the time it took to fix it. Hopefully we'll be able to nip it in the bud when it happens again.
