You guys are amazing!!! That is almost like an everyday thing here! Well maybe not the Mercedes (yet). Our only rule is no financing, cash only.

Remember, I have been married 30 plus years. The delivery will be in my brothers name to avoid that type of a potential error . Upside is, when she finds out, I can plead that I will be able to pay for it with the lumber I cut ,,, ya thats the ticket.... it will pay for it self. That just might work

I just noticed this thread. The Logosol would be my choice over any bandsawmill for several reasons. Band saws dull quickly especially when cutting into bark. I do prefer them as a resaw cutting planks after cant has been made. Bandsaw mills are tempermental and parts availabilty is nothing like a chainsaw. If the mill goes down so does your job. Bands have to be very tight to keep wood from waving when you hit knots and bands are prone to overheating and streching just like chainsaws. Cutting speed is faster but is often lost in set up time. The Logosol set up will cost as much as a cheap bandsaw mill, more if you go electric but it would be my choice for smaller operation. I am considering one myself just because of the economy. I have just set up another small scale logging/sawmill operation but the way I get equipment is to start small and let equipment pay for itself. A reaching arch comes next but right after that will probably reinvest profits in a Logosol. The big advantage is less down time.
