If this violates the forums political rule I apologize and understand the deletion of this thread.
The law has passed through congress giving you a tax credit for up to 4500 dollars. I understand the laws benefits (increased sales of new fuel efficient cars, less dependence on foreign oil, more business at car lots that have been idle for to long.) I have an issue with the fact that the law directs car dealers to destroy the trade in vehicles. So in theory I could trade in a perfectly good used vehicle and it would be destroyed? I think this will cause a big deficit in reliable, affordable, used cars. What do you guys think?
