If you grow herbs, heres a trick to harvesting them and having them on hand for quite some time (without drying them). Pick your herbs and press them into one of the slots of an ice cube tray. Top off the tray with water (keep poking the herbs down while you add the water). Make sure you mark the trays so that you know what youve got. Making soup, chili, spaghetti sauce? Just pop a cube or two of the herb you need into the pot while cooking.
