If it were China, or Europe you'd be shot without question, it is not the rule here.
SR, that was good link you had, but it nothing to do with the police being over zealous or wrong. I don't agree with taking guns from Americans, but I will do my job. Now if it were to take the rights of firearms from the people forever, then I'd have a problem, as would most cops I know. Because no one is taking my flintlock from me... not while I live and breath... ever, and then I'm gonna come back and haunt them till they croak.
    Relax people.

A gun is needed in a free society. The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.

Vets were "tagged" during Vietnam with everything you can think of and I do believe our Government bought a lot of that crap. During the riots in '68 in Washington, DC a company fresh out of the bush were sent to Anacostia. If you know DC you know it's a military station. The "powers to be" would NOT use them because they "assumed" they would be too violent and instead used the DC Guard, the biggest bunch of misfits I have ever seen disgrace a uniform. I apologize if any of you were in the DC Guard but I stand by what I said, and I am gonna try to NEVER mention anything I did or saw between '63 & '73, but vets a danger gets me hot.

What was one of the first things Hitler did? Got rid of the guns.

SR the link you gave... free republic.com, for them to use a military Hoo-yah is ridiculous and absurd and I feel sorry for the Marine Corps since they say it too. Its run by a bunch of suit wearing pencil pushers who are yuppie freaks.

"Come to WV & E. KY and try and find a slingshot to confiscate, nobody around here owns a firearms."

Western Ky has removed all of their guns also. I do not own 3 shotguns, one 30/30, one 22 and two handguns. Relax people. Pay attention to what is going on and if the knuckleheads in office keep screwing with your rights. Vote 'em out of office and get somebody in there that represents your views. That's why we have free elections. If the government takes away our rights then we have no one to blame but ourselves.
As for if they come to take my guns, what guns? I don't own no stinkin' guns!

The problem is that people can't decide whether they want rights or an easy life provided to them via a socialist leader.

In this video, I'm guessing the clergy will blindly try to help "keep the peace", while at the same time, bind the will and minds of "free people".

Arkansas town on lock down "Martial Law"
This is the second time we've seen a domestic "surge" with police imposing a martial law-style clampdown; the first was in DC a few weeks ago. This will quickly become a trend, and then standard procedure in quite a few communities, I suspect.

IMO, you'll do as you are damn well told, or your arse is headed for the funeral home my friends. Today's law enforcement officers aren't going to pussyfoot around with you in a no-knock raid -- you resist the law and you are DEAD, period.

Look at the raid in Maryland last week or so where the mayor of a small town was found to be dealing marijuana. A SWAT team kicked in the front door, killed his dogs (chasing one down to kill it), laughing all the while. He's lucky he wasn't killed himself -- he would have been had he resisted.

Most of the new recruits in law enforcement today are Iraq war vets, and these men and women are VI-OH-LENT. If you think they can't take your guns you had better think again.

    Thoughts there tough guys?
I would let them take every gun they knew about or found. I would not resist law enforcement at all.

By the way, I and others on here might just be an Iraqi war vet. Unless you know us personally don't refer to us as being "VI-OH-LENT". That is not cool. If you have an opinion about the war or the war veterans "KEEP IT TO YOURSELF". This is not the place to discuss such things.

I am not a violent cop, and "police were over-zealous" anyone here ever been on SWAT, I am on SRT here and when you go in to do a raid, drug bust, or serve a high risk warrant you get amped up, not by others but by human nature of the adrenaline that pumps into your system going in to do a nerve racking thing most of the guys I know on SWAT and SRT are quiet before going in because they're thinking of what they have to do. And SR, what the he11 aren't you against.
If the cops are told to enforce Martial Law then it will be done and they are following orders, no one is taking your gun rights away and Bragg quote the whole thing instead of just parts starting a war of words here.
And to tell you the truth, I don't know about your SWAT teams but here with ours, ryaninmichigan or anyone else with all that macho crap, it'd take us about 3 seconds to get in your house and see you with a gun and stitch you up the middle with quick burst if it was pointed our way.
So saying you'll fight is ridiculous, and the guns took during martial law, just like we had here during the riots, were tagged and returned to the owners when the curfew and law was lifted. Relax people.
Beo, again you hit the nail on the head. That is why I would peacefully give the law every gun they knew about or found in my house. If the cops wanted to arrest me I would not resist in the least. I swore an oath once to uphold the laws of this country and to defend her against all enemies both foreign and domestic. I am not about to become an enemy of my country.

Ahhhhhhh..........Bragg just pissed off because his gold values or dropping.

He needs something in stir the pot.

Oh yeh, and you wonder why I live in Georgia. I have no problem just moving up the road to Alabama.

My belief, when the police say drop it, hands in the air, I say, how high.

I once asked a Sherrif why in Lithonia, they shot a lady who would not put down a butcher knife. The gent, knowing me, asked, "so, you have a butcher knife in your hand, how far you accurate" my response, "15 yards in the pie plate."

His response "I'd shoot you dead." We laughed, I understand.

I said "most" vets have the tendency to be more "VI-OH-LENT" before and especially after service. I personally know 6 friends who are not the people they were after they got back..... my brother being one of them. (now with the Golden BC. RCMP detachment)

This is only one reason: http://www.alternet.org/blogs/waroni...al_histories_/

This post was not intended to offend anyone........so suck it up there buttercup.

I know a lot more than 6 vets who were in everything from Vietnam to Grenada to Operation Iraqi Freedom, and still in now. When they come home they are not violent, never were violent when they come home, and still are not violent. So MOST vets are not violent. That was just a wrong statement.
