The plan was...to hike 30 miles in the Uintas in Utah. This was to start on Monday and finish on Saturday. But, that isn't what happened. On Monday, less than a 1/4 mile from camp.... I sprained my ankle on a steep down hill. I slipped on a rock, lost my footing...and well... sprained my ankle. Of course, this happened right after telling two scouts to slow down so they don't slip and sprain their ankles.
After laying on the trail in pain for 20 minutes, I busted out the first aid kit and wrapped it up. I told the rest to go make camp. The other leader came back and took my pack. And, luckily I was able to walk to camp. The next day I told them there was no way we would make 30 miles, so we decided to stay at the same camp for another night and just relax around the lake and fish. On Wednesday, we packed up and walked out. I was able to carry my pack out, but...man...the next day. There was no way I could do 30 miles. Anyways, here are some pictures I took. My son is in most of them.

The fishing was actually pretty good. Everyone who had a license and pole caught at least one. They were pretty much all brook trout. Very tasty.
