I want to do something I seldom do and make a product endorsement.
I purchased a pair of Sportsman's Guide flannel lined Guide Gear pants back in the fall and now I have had a chance to test them.

They have proven a good value for the money and according to the test I put them too this morning they do as they are advertised.
I was rousted out this morning to help start a neighbor's car. Temp was 7 degrees and 30 mph gusts. After a half hour outside in that I never felt a gust of wind cut through the fabric and my lower body was quite comfortable.
These pants are heavy duck fabric with a heavy flannel liner. It feels like a blanket when you pick them up but they are not bulky once you put them on and are very comfortable to wear.
7 pockets and elastic expandable waist band so you can tuck in as many layers as you feel necessary.
In this weather they are a good product for the money. They would be a good addition to a winter 'get home bag".
Just my 2 cents worth.
