Just curious if anyone has one in there grab and go/emergency bag, and what your thoughts are on them. Great tool, or unnecessary weight addition to a bag. Of course this again depends on what your bag is for. I can't see ever needing to grab a bag and head to the hills living off of mice and birds, i.e. "bugging out" as a likely situation.

Ok ok I'll answer a bit. I keep my .357 by my front (and only) door. Sometimes I take it to bed with me depending on what is going on in my work (which sometimes involves unpleasant stalkery people). Sometimes I take it to work with me. Sometimes I take it when walking the dog, sometimes I don't, again, depends on the climate of the day. I always take it when ever I go out of town for any reason on any type of trips.

In KYs posts it seemed obvious that it was thrown around more as an insult. How is the one liner above "California?" while he's expressing his dislike for me anything else? If it is and I misunderstood sorry. You are right, not seeing the other speaker makes it hard to see any inflection or inference one something typed.

Rick is right in that a lot of us don't hate California itself, it is the political climate there which many of us strongly disagree with. I've been there and thought it was a nice place to visit. I'd go back, but not out of my way to do so. Mostly because there are other places I'd rather go instead. One thing that I have noticed about people in general is that they may not agree with everything around them, but it is still home and they will fight to the death for it. When a location is "attacked" we feel we are being attacked because we love our home, when in reality it is nothing personal at all. We have two members here (Ken and Bennesse) that are in a similar boat as you.

I guess all I am saying is let it go. I think you are an okay guy, just don't take stuff personally. We are people that you have never met, after all. What do we really matter?

I have a little Crosman 2289G Backpacker and Predator Metalmag pellets for my day hiking kit. Weighs just over 2lbs and is push button take-down. I limit it to 15 yards due to the 12in barrel. I also limit it to Rabbit or similar sized game with a head shot. This is it's sole purpose. It's NOT meant for defense.

Price and caliber is spot on. They have talked 17 but I haven't seen any.

I was just shooting it today...at 200 yards!! 6-8" groups!!! 2x scope whos dot was bigger then the target I was aiming at!! LOL

This gun shoots one hole at 50', under 1/2" at 25yards, just over a inch at 50 yards. PLENTY accurate for what I need or would use it for!
