How to Quickly Empty a Bottle

If you are homesteading then you probably like to reuse your bottles. But you know what a pain it can be to wash out a bunch of bottles. The slowest part is emptying out the bottle when washing or rinsing. You can speed that process up by holding the bottle upside down and making a couple of shakes in a circular motion. A whirlpool effect will be created inside the bottle letting the air rush in and the water will flow out twice as fast.

I have a rinse area in my shop. When cleaning bottles I use 20:1 bleach and a couple tablespoons of coarse silica sand. Plug the end and shake like hell. Rise completely and stand upside down to dry. Clean as a whistle everytime.
