I am working on my third carburator as spring is upon us. First it was the boat, ethanol did a number on it. Second I did the Datsun truck, not anything to do with ethanol just a new carb. Now, it is the tiller, carbs off just finished the rebuild and will install if it ever quits raining. Ethanol swelled the seat shut on the tiller. This is a nice 5.5 Briggs OHV. I am expecting more issues with the Husky mower and another boat and maybe my Husky chainsaw. I enjoy rebuilding carbs, been doing it since I was 9 with Dad. I am going to quit going against the grain, lesson learned. I think I will build one specifically for ethanol, Kits are available and a few other tips. The jet size needs to 40% larger and the float needs to weigh 10% more. I am not buying stabil for 4 dollar gas...maybe I am just hard headed. Looks like the '77 K5 Blazer is going to be an experiment in going with the grain. I have set a goal of anything that needs work to run right getting that attention ASAP!
