    Rick, as old as that lantern looks i was thinking display only is a good idea.

    You just wait. Once you get it cleaned up you'll think, "I've come this far it sure would be nice to see it work". If you can find a globe to fit it, and you probably can, you can put the mica globe into safe keeping and fire it using a modern globe. Let me know the model number and year.

    Welderguy if you don't want to mess with them I will give you triple your money back.

    You did great on that purchase. I have a twin for the lantern sitting on a shelf in my shop just begging for me to get the time to rehab it.
