On a topic related note.. I scraped a nice roadkill doe yesterday. I don't know how long it laid on the road, but 2 days of rinsing in running water did not help this thing at all. It was quite a challenge getting the hair off to rid it of the rancid smell while holding my breath. I didn't buck the hide at all and it was probably the easiest hide I ever scraped.. wierd.. It must have been REALLY close to rotten to scrape that easy. You really gotta love doing something a lot to put up with that kind of smell...
That being said, I probably overqualify for smelling pig shmidt.
