survival vids

I thought I'd found a good source of survival vids (AZ Bushcraft). They were pretty good until I ran across this one. What the... (what's going on with this? It reminds me of Bear Grylls. Is this a GB thing?)?

can't you tube, but vids i can recomend are the hoods woods series, i ordered all 25 about a year and a half ago and have been very happy with them

Also, if the GB comment in the first post refers to Green Beret, please don't associate Bear with them. He says he was in British Special Forces. Help me Winnie, I don't think there is such a thing; know about SAS, SBS, etc. First and only time I watched the show he said that and I knew something was amiss and knew for sure when he walked into a mangrove swamp. To his credit, he turned around and went back to the river. A mangrove swamp is a VERY inhospitable place.

The GB comment refferred to Great Britain.

I'll try OGI, From what I remember, special forces in UK might mean the Paras(Parachute Regiment), but then if he was in the Paras, he would have called them just that.
The SAS and SBS are sometimes known as special forces but rarely and only then by the media or a ninkompoop!
If that man was in any regimant in the British army I'd be mightily surprised, he's a waste of space and like I said, an embarassment.
I'd just love to see him explain his survival skills to Lofty!
When his show was first aired over here, I managed to watch about 5mins of it before the embarrassment became too much. He's very popular over here, and no doubt he prob knows some survival skills, but it's worrisome that some people will absorb these and attempt them in a real situation. They forget the man had a film crew and back up team with him.
