Cool. Good luck. Oh yeah --- meant to ask you - shouldn't your summer project be flint knapping with your forum name and all?

Hahaha! I've never really tried flint-knapping, but I've been meaning to. The Rockgod is actually from an old screen name. It refers to rock music, but if I get good enough at knapping... You may be onto something there Crash!

But thanks for the well-wishes. I'll let you all know how it turns out. Your knife project looks pretty dang good, if I do say so myself (Though I know I'm not the only one saying so, seeing as I've been following the thread)!

Thanks. It's all a learning process.

True. I'm hoping to learn quite a bit about forging this summer, so hopefully this is the start of a lifelong hobby.

Well, checked out the forge. It's been lying on its side for the past year and is quite dilapidated. So instead I'm going to build a coffee can or paint can forge. Hooray for another project to begin!!! Unfortunately, I have to do this one before I can start forging.

It's always good to have projects....especially as you get older - keeps the mind active.

True that. Something's got to keep me out of trouble. Though if I hurt myself I'll be in trouble with the wife... Lesser of two evils?

I try to keep a list of things to put off. That way I just show my wife all the stuff I need to work on. Sad part is the list just keeps growing.

I wouldn't believe that if I had told it myself. We do what we're told, too old to run away from home.
Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he's too old
to fight... he'll just kill you.

Too old to run for any reason. I'm at the age where I hit like a girl, fall like a tree and get up like a turtle. Life is pretty good in the slow lane.
