    Default Trangia westwind stove

Looking at the site it has a price of the stove with or without the burner. What are they calling the burner? I know what the simmer ring is but not the burner.

    Default The brass can.

The burner is a brass can with a screw on lid. Fill it with alcohol and light it to cook.

I thought that was the stove but now I see thats the burner[the part I want] and the frame of alumlnum that goes around to hold the pot is the stove.I ordered one today and will post a report on its performance.

You won't be disappointed. You can save a ton of money by purchasing those Swiss military cook sets you see on eBay. You can pick them up for 10 bucks..ish. I paid $8.00 for one. You get a Trangia stove plus the cook gear and a plastic contain for the alcohol. The stove alone is double that price if you purchase it seperately .
