Default Picked up my rifle and went

Did about an 8 mile hike yesterday, took my .22 along and did a bit of target practicing (was putting 5 for 5 in a soup can lid that I found at 70 paces). Made a little fire and cooked some garlic sausage for lunch. After lunch I stretched out and read a pocket book for awhile, then shot some more before I headed back. It was a good day for it,about 75 degrees F with a slight breeze. I went into this area just south of me that's mostly sand hills and coniferous forest. I cleaned up a bit of garbage in the area and packed it back out with me, by the time I left the mosquitoes were getting a little pesky, but not too bad overall. All in all it was a good way to waste away a Sunday.
some fella confronted me the other day and asked "What's your problem?" So I told him, "I don't have a problem I am a problem"

Glad you enjoyed it. Now if we could convince today's youth (not the ones on the forum - you already know) that it a lot more fun than Nintendo....

Actually, crash, with some of the youth I work with around here, the first thing I have to say is "OK, put down the gun and then we'll talk...." (nah, I'm exaggerating that one a bit, but like the Nintendo junkies, most of them think a trip outdoors means from the house to the car and from the car to the mall)

Canada is north of Atlanta, and yes my dear it was a great day. I'm kind of glad I was alone, actually.

...and he whines and wonders when someone proclaims it "pick on Rick month"....he's probably just trying to deflect a little heat. ALL ALONE Rick, I can number the people around my place that I'd take with me on one hand, without lifting any fingers.

I think Nell's probably pretty happy that I went all alone since she wasn't here to go with me

Yes, he is, no wonder someone would set aside an entire month for picking on him. He's asking for it. And yeah to the bush time, sometimes I just have to chuck everything and wander out there.

Whad I do? Whad I do? I just asked a simple question. I thought maybe Nell might take offense for not being asked to go along and finding out you would rather not have been out there with her. That's all.

LMAO.Rick ,there are 1199 miles between us right now, kind of hard for him to ask me to just come along ,for now,but soon, that will change.Kind of silly for me to get upset for not being asked to come along.
