It never happened. Many that said they would go were no longer around. Gas was at its highest right around that time. PGVOutdoors suggested regional meet and greets or gatherings. We did a small one in Florida. http://www.wilderness-survival.net/f...ead.php?t=4466
That's a shame. Noone is going to learn online as much as they could working with others in the field. Well, I'm on the east coast now so I'll try to host some kind of winter thing later.

Hey lets have a winter gathering. Call it a Winter Wilderness Survival Workshop, we could rent a USFS Cabin near Cooke City, Montana (Yellowstone Park) and have that as a base camp, but then we could build snow caves, set-up wall tents, tipis, use sled dogs, snow shoes, etc... and practice all kinds of winter skills. I'll gladly host it, and line- it all up. I can even provide some winter clothes to you more southern individuals who might not have the right stuff.
This could be a lot of fun!
