Don't let Jason Montana's dogs see him up on th furniture - they will probably want to try it too, and there won't be enough for everybody.

Weighs 65pounds,eh? I don't think that would be a Rattie! His head would weigh about as much as my little terror!

    Default Little Brushwood Dog

Well that is one of the translations. I have a Shiba Inu. Really smart and kind of hard to train Japanese hunting dog. He just might be smarter that his owners, yet to be determined. He is only six months old but shows promise as a hunter. Definitely looking forward to getting him back to states and out in the woods with me. Already my favorite out of the dogs I've owned.

You don't have to join PETA to survive in the woods, it just helps.

I used to have a cockapoo. Very smart dog.

After that I had a s-h-i-tzu. Cute, but very dumb, long hair. Great for washing floors though. I just used duct tape to tape it to a stick, and wash away.

    Nice Shiba.

I have two Dogs. One is a Chow/Dalmatian/Lab and has been a great watch dog for 14 years but is getting very decrepit now. We are starting to look around for a replacement and a Shiba Inu is on the list.

The other pup is a 3 year old wiener dog and is a great watch dog but not much of a threat-dog... He did manage to tree 5 raccoons in November though, and is great in the garden as he eats Gophers.

I used to have a Dachshund - great dog. A few of my neighbors at the time were breeders. One, had trained his dogs pretty well to not leave the front yard when they were out. A German Shepard kept coming around to harass the dogs, but never set foot in the yard - just barked. One day the Shepard got brave and came into the yard. The alpha male lept off the porch and started running toward the larger dog. The weiner dog never slowed down - ran right under the Shepard - looked up and bit as he passed through -----yep, the Shepard was a male.
