Just a reminder to those of you who may have forgotten, it's a good idea to check, or have your mechanic check, your car/truck antifreeze levels and test it with a hydrometer to see what temperature your antifreeze is protected to.
Earlier today, I came across the second car I've seen this winter with a cracked radiator, most likely due to an antifreeze mixture that wasn't strong enough to cope with recent low temperatures.
While your at it, you may want to check your tire pressure, belts and hoses, your battery status, change wipers as necessary, check and add or change your oil if it's required, and top off all other automotive fluids to proper levels. And don't forget your rear windshield washer reservoir.
Car maintenance is often overlooked in colder months, and nobody likes being broken down on the side of the road in the middle of a snowstorm.
