The fact that they are getting caught in their lies and are unrepentant is what bugs me. They are now so arrogant that they blatantly lie to our face while smiling that smarmy smile of theirs.

I believe that people who operate on lies and deceit are ill equipped to recognize truth even when they may benefit from it. They tend to assume we all operate the same. When the truth and lies are held at the same value we are screwed. Oh, ya..... When lol

I don't have a problem with this one. Kerry can do anything on his yacht that he can do from his house or office or in Egypt for that matter. He probably has one of those nifty government provided satellite uplink video phone conference gps with smell-a-vision. And he surely has his Obamaphone. The Prez was golfing so what's the difference?

My real concern was for the Secrect Service guys trying to keep up in their canoes. Now that looked tacky. (get it? Sailing? Tack...y? I slay myself).

Hahaha.....did you miss the news reports, that had Kerry's people falling all over themselves, assuring everyone that the calls he made, were NOT from his boat. (Reminded me of little kids, saying "He was in the house, working really hard and being very serious almost all day!" He was hardly playing on his boat, at all!")

You act like anyone in Washington actually knows what anyone else in Washington is doing. I understand the NSA broke the story when they monitored his calls in Nantucket.

I'm going to steal a McDonald's cash register and modify for Congressional voting. Instead of a picture of a quarter pounder it will have some guy climbing over a fence. That will be immigration. Instead of a picture of a McRib it will have a picture of a $. That will be for taxes and so on. Then at the top it will have one little button for YES and one giant button for NO. None of this confusing Yeah, Nay stuff. When a bill comes up to increase taxes all they have to do is punch the $ and the big NO button. When a bill comes up to relax immigration they can just punch the button with the guy climbing over the fence and the big NO button. We need to make this simpler for them.

It's unfortunate that for over a decade now, the Herald is considered little more than a tabloid-level rag (most of the people hanging out in the comment sections need to have their meds checked.) The Herald does dig up good true dirt and has caused a fair amount of change in this state, unfortunately, the paper's own credibility has sunk to an all-time low mostly due to its tabloid design and graphics format, not to mention it's tough to be the only media outlet not toeing the party line. But they aren't tanking like the other major Boston newspaper...

I get the part about the State Department lying. The lying just needs to stop. Unfortunately, the lies we are hearing these past few months are only practice. Once they get it right, soon we may not be able to tell lie from truth. And the apathy of the 51% is unbelievable.

This Egypt situation is one that bears watching. I'm not sure there is anything Kerry or Obama should be doing at this point. The situation has already progressed beyond the moment where US intervention or diplomacy matters. This could be seen coming months ago - the minute Morsi granted himself extensive executive powers and dissolved what amounts to the judiciary body in Egypt. That was when the diplomacy was needed. Not now. The Egyptian people recognized what was going on and demanded change now rather than wait 3 years for an election. The demonstrations were relatively peaceful for such a volatile nation and still the government refused to air grievances. Recent history can provide great lessons. If you can read.

Then when the media gets ahold it, Breaking News erupts with a flurry of outrage.

This whole flap is non sequitur to me. A pure fallacy of the undistributed middle if you are an English major.

Kerry's lips are moving
Your lips must move when you lie
Therefore Kerry lies when his lips move

There are some really big fish frying at the moment. Far to big to worry about Kerry's press people looking up the word "truth" in the dictionary and trying in vain to apply it.
