Bugging Out: Impossible for Many?

The last time I was anywhere near the city was taking Winnie on a guided tour on the way to Bass Pro and REI! That was in Oct, last year.

You urbanites made your choice, bug in, bug out, walk, crawl or drag your shopping cart through the rubble, whatever you want to do.

You know what is going to happen, but you stay there anyway.

It's an addiction as bad as cocaine.

If TSHTF, I couldn't think of too many communities among which I'd like to find myself than those of LDS.
I've met a few members throughout the years of going skiing to Utah and I like their POV on prepping and looking out for family and neighbors.
Plus, they "carry".

I do find it annoying that you can't order a pizza from elk camp 15 miles (and about 20 gates) up the mountain, 70 miles from any kind of town...and have it hot.

No you have it wrong. Crazy people are here, I tell you. However, Washington State is probably the best place ever! And Western Washington is heaven on earth. Everyone should bug out there. The Cascades are like mountains....just smaller.

Heh, we wrapped them in tin foil and threw them on top of the wood stove. That is checkpoint Mile 101 for the Yukon Quest, my friends Kate and Wesley. Wes was a student of photojournalism and trying to break into the Yukon Quest scene. Mile 101 is a very small cabin so occasionally we have to kick out handlers and press so as to have room for the mushers when they come in. They hit the nail on the head as the way to be welcomed in the cook shack. They also made the drive in a front wheel drive, tiny car. I think I remember them saying it took them 4 hours to come the 100 miles. This year he was attached to Lance Mackey's kennel (our local champion hero) and did a blog on the whole trip.
