adjustable buttstock on a lever action is nice though because not everyone is the same size, that lever doesnt have a pictinny rail , part of the problem , I laugh when you AR guys talk about how this is an obomination and yet , throwing all the crap on an AR is ok? I have a folding stock on my AK (came off of a shotgun ) , the forend also came off a shotgun as well as the AR grip I modded on it , had to mod them on there , it suits me just fine , I dont need snipers scope(nor do I have an extra grand lying around to buy it) and I dont need foregrips and all that yuppie stuff , because lets face it , the AK has a purpose , for clearing rooms out , its not the most accurate shooter but it will kill its target! Thats its purpose , I have a Jennings .25 acp ,ugly critter , probably only good for a few shots at best (just enough time to pull out my .40 sw or my .45 acp) , it has a job , just as this gun will have a job , I love lever actions ,I wont be getting this one anytime soon (not at 500 bucks) ,but I am willing to shell out 300 for a Rossi Ranch Hand in .45lc , now thats a great camp gun right there! Drop the price on this Lever and Ill get one of them too!

Tresmon, is that a wild west guns 45-70? Me want.

Jarhead, I have a small flashlight and a Vertical foregrip on my AR. That's all. Someone had to talk me into the flashlight , but holy smokes, you know how nice it is to spotlight the yard with an aimed rifle? You feel like Leonidas.

Still haven't quite figured out if a vertical foregrip is useful or not, but they shoot differant now.

"Jarhead" is a term of endearment, don't get all mad.
I had a compass, but without a map, it's just a cool toy to show you where oceans and ice are.

I always thought the SPAS (pronounced SPAZ) was interestingly named.

I do have to admit that a night vision capability, on my BYB pellet rifle, has always interested me....for those late nite bunny hunts.....laser will lite up the eyes, so you're not shooting at a clump of leaves in the dark......I can see where I could get carried away for this special op's rifle.

Hunter, ever think about a visible laser illuminator? Doesn't scare game, not NEAR the advertisement to the whole world that white light is. And it's a laser so there's only light at the lens of the laser and on the backdrop. You wont have a bright beam streaking from the rifle all the way to the target
It's kinda wanna-be night vision, that's REALLY effective...

I ran across a picture of that online before. Absolutely the worse idea for a lever ever.

Hey y'all, I wouldn't be so quick to bad-mouth a lever gun. As the old Russian proverb tells us, "BETTER is the enemy of GOOD-ENOUGH."

In the proper hands (all of 'em young) I have witnessed both a '66 and a '73 Winchester (souped-up reproductions, both of 'em) keep pace with a semi-auto AR-15. Heck, as old and decrepit as I am, I can get my unaltered 1860 Henry and 1866 Winchester reproductions up to 50-60 rounds per minute. ['Course, the magazines only hold 10-15 rounds...]

By the way, did I mention that I'm into Cowboy Action Shooting? Of course, when I do it, its more like Indian Action Shooting. There are a surprising number of us, and we all ascribe to the motto, "Our heroes have always killed cowboys..."

I don't think people were objecting to lever guns in general, but rather the one shown in the OP in particular.

Yup, that one's uglier than homemade sin. Just didn't want folks to throw out the baby with the bathwater (so to speak)...
