It's not just you, kiddo. We do it, too. Remember that much of that aid is in the form of humanitarian efforts like food, water, schools and medical supplies. It's not all cash. Remember, too, that a lot of Middle Eastern schools are designed to teach what we consider radical ideologies so our effort is as much political as it is noble. Does it work (shrug)? I don't understand it either.

Sorry, most aid doesn't work. Governments steal the supplies we send and not nearly enough of it actually gets to the people that need it. Hell, look at what was happening in Haiti, where the government wasn't letting aid through because they wanted to tax it as imports.
