    Default Resoling Hiking Boots

I have an old pair of Vasque hiking boots that are like a second skin on my feet. I love those old things but the tread had finally disappeared and I knew it was time to do something with them when I stepped on a piece of bubble gum along a path and it pulled my sock off. I've kept the uppers in great shape so I went in search of someone to put new tread on my old friends.

I sent them off to Resole America. They are an authorized Vasque resoler and they were a bit cheaper than a couple of other places I checked. They are authorized to resole a lot of brand name boots including hiking and work boots.

They should be back this week and I'll follow up this post and let everyone know how good of a job they do.

Lots of us learned how to make sandals out of tires, we can probably set you up with some fancy white walls and always have plenty of mudders on hand. Don't have street tires but jungle tread is in this year. There is a little place down the road called Recaps While U Wait
    If you want custom work.

Sandals out of tires, huh? I could really use a good pair of stud sandals then. Sort of fits, you know?

I was told today that in order to buy stud sandals you had to show ID. Not to prove you're old enough he just won't sell to anyone over 50. He told me he had a reputation to maintain and old guys would keep coming back for warranty work . Sorry I tried.

Tell him I promise to soak the sandals in a mixture of viagra and whisky. That should keep the tread hard on them and even if it doesn't they won't care.

Yeah...I'm just gonna let the stud sandals thing slide (it's your world Rick, You live in it!) I'm just glad he didn't get around to making any walking on water references.
some fella confronted me the other day and asked "What's your problem?" So I told him, "I don't have a problem I am a problem"

How do you make them?? My remaining pair of sandals is the mismatched remnants of 2 other pairs, and these are also on their last legs. Tires we hae, and I guess I can salvage the straps from these guys.

If your feet are small enough run the tread sideways, it's nice to mess with people's minds.

"Hey, Bobby! Look at this. Ole Coot is walking sideways again."

"I'll bet he's been in the nectar of the gods."

"Wonder if he ever found his pistol and knife."

    Shrug.

I found the knife but I can't get it to talk. I did forget about the walking on water bit but I will let it pass. It's easier to look over your shoulder if you're walking sideways or rather where your shoulder would be. I DO hold a patent on that fine foot ware, Redneck invention stolen from S.E. Asia. And I don't drink anymore or any less either.
