The other players then try to run in to the circle and tag "it". The game is over when a cousin is unconscious or drunk uncle Buddy gets his tooth knocked out.

Kinda falls in the catogory of "Hold my beer and watch this s**t", right?

So would the winner is considered a "Bully", by today's standards?
Bullies stayed bullies till they got their butte kicked.

None of the "just me and you" to settle this, after school.
School fights now consists of lock downs, criminal charges, cell phone calls to parents, friends, and various reinforcements called in for the frases.

I was relieved when my son came home and told me his team won at dodge ball, and that they plated wall ball. Thats the game where you throw a tennis ball at the wall and if you try to catch it and miss you have to run to the wall or get pegged with the ball. I loved to play that game.

Unfortunately uncle Buddy is no longer with us. He was my favorite uncle. He was a gold glove boxer and a Marine that did 2 tours in Viet Nam. My mom says thats why he drank. He was one funny guy, never a harsh word towards anyone.

Do kids still play with army men? Do they even still sell them? My cuz had thousands of them. When we would go to visit, the first thing we would do is grab the army men and head to the creek in their back yard. We would spend hours setting them up on opposite creek banks. Then we would each gather a pile of rocks and take turns bombing each others set up. My favorite one was the bazooka man.

LOL, I almost forgot about them, we sorta did the same thing, but turned into using BB guns again, sort of target practice, plus strategy.

I don't know how it is with you people, but on this side of the pond, I can't remember the last time I saw a group of kids playing outside, let alone a specific game. Sad really.

We played kill the man with the ball. Which was probably the same as smear the queer or what ever it was. BB gun wars gave way to paintball in the mid 80's.

Mumbilee peg in camp. We also played stretch, where you started with a buddy back to back and moving only one foot once per turn you tried to stick the knife in the ground where they couldn't reach it.

Also, chicken which involved trying to throw the knife and stick it in the ground as close as possible to the other guys foot as possible without hitting them.
