Default Saudi's See Peak Oil Coming, We're Screwed

    http://www.business24-7.ae/Articles/...693ecd67a.aspx

Saudi Arabia's Shura council (parliament) will hold a series of meetings over the next two weeks to discuss a controversial proposal by a key member to curb oil production to save reserves for better prices, Saudi media reported. The council will listen to a report by deputy chairman of the Shura water and public utilities committee, Salim bin Rashid Al Marri, who will argue for cutting crude supplies to maintain the Kingdom's underground reserves.

"Marri will seek to persuade council members that the oil production must be linked to the country's actual development needs not the needs of foreign consumers," Alriyadh newspaper said in a report from the capital Riyadh. "He will tell the Council that keeping sufficient oil quantities underground is a good investment for the future as oil prices will then be higher…he will argue that this will be better than producing more oil and generating financial surpluses on the grounds these surpluses are causing inflation."

If the Saudi's tighten down the taps......I'd hate to see what the price of fuel will get.

    LOL!!!

Well put. I recently told my wife and co-workers how never before in American history has the government openly screwed its people and pretty much just looked at it as an "oh well" situation in attempts to keep everyone from doing something about it.

I think it will hasten the ethanol frenzy and more farmers will grow corn instead of groceries. The expense will probably be shared between food and fuel.

    Adapt and overcome.

But in the meantime, you have to put up with whiners and crybabies.

    FVR's prediction,

Big talkers, whiners, crybabies, and Bragg ers, are always hiding something.

They use these forums to masterbate and massage their egos while trying to come off as something they are not. They are nothing but little men, lost, and are seeking acceptance, over the internet. So they don't have to stand face to face with others.

The mirrors they look in have heroic pictures drawn on them, so that every morning they can get their false sense of security, and live their imaginary dreams.

Sam,in the county I live in,I have only seen 1 field palnted in soybeans this year, the farmers normally rotate thier crops, and some of these should be planted with beans, but are planted in corn again this year.Alot of them have also sold off their herd of cattle,so they are not growing it for feed.

Have you observed their children? They have no concept of what is right and wrong behavior. The parents blame it on everything except themselves. It also seems society has confused privilege with rights.

We, Americans are failing a social experiment that started in the mid 60's. Families that promote no fathers be present, responsiblity is to be passed off to the US government, public schools worry about those not passing so they dumb the schools down rather than get better educators, parents think that school is a daycare and do not question or comment on them until it is an inconvienance.

And, unfortunately, the government has confused rights with privileges.
