Being up on the side of this mountain ..... deduct another 5-10 degrees. It's been brutal here for two weeks straight.

Good news with the rain though, I'll be able to box blade the roads with ease to rid the pot holes.

Mid 90's all week. The severe thunderstorms ended round about Wednesday (they were pretty spectacular). The last inspection I did today - attic was 165 - got out of the attic and 95 felt kind of cool.

Oh, Lord. I remember those days. Early in my career we had to fish walls and that often meant a lot of attic work. Cold as heck in the winter and hotter than heck in the summer. Today, they just go to the house like the power company. Weeny boys these days. Real men devour attics!

So that's what beef jerky feels like. Don't think I would have lasted ten hours or so.

You got that right, bunch of losers. Glad they changed the name of the company after I retired. The last crew I had I made them climb and ladders were a no no.

Everybody here seems to be pretty good at looking out for themselves in extreme temperature conditions. What about the kids. Here's some info that may be useful. http://www.drreddy.com/heat.html

My AC is humming. My ceiling fans are turning. I'm enjoying the cool air. If the grid crashes they'll just have to fix it. I'm not doing without my AC, thank you very much.

It's 101*F here today. I went on my morning walk with a bottle of frozen water and a bottle of frozen Gatorade. I think I only walked 2 miles before I had guzzled them both down.
