    120 MPG!

Fuel efficient cars are being specifically blocked from entry into the U.S. & Canadian market. Ford and GM sell fuel efficient cars in Europe right now. But they won't/can't sell them here.

Has anyone seen the Tato Nano for $2500.00 out the door?

I've looked at the Tata Nano before, they look pretty similar to a smart car in a lot of ways, only way more affordable. I agree that it is outrageous that these cars can't be sold here due to various restriction imposed by the government. When I was in Spain last year it was a rarity to see a car that didn't get at least 40-50 mpg (when converted from metric of course.).

They probably don't meet our safety or emission standards. That was the case with the super cheap car from India.

For $2500.00, I'd buy 10 of them for my sales team/project managers. Even if they were like a disposable Bic lighter and lasted 3-4 years, it would be worth it.

Same car I think Sam. There is a good vid on Utube showing them in motion. Why would anyone need more than 3 lug nuts anyways?

They're probably safer than motorcycles, which are the other high-mileage alternative.

Sam, it's because they realise that if they really get hurt or sick that the folks at the hospital are required to take care of them whether or not if they have benefits. I work in the healthcare field, and it's really annoying that those who decide to not have benefits through their workplace even though it's OBVIOUS that they can easily afford them, that they can get the same type of healthcare that those do who spend a fortune each month for it. I know, I know, insurance companies or mostly just a scam, really, but if you were to ever get REALLY sick or hurt it really comes in handy.
I'm all for charity hospitals, but when someone who decides to not buy health insurance for really no reason comes into the hospital and expects EXCELLENT healthcare RIGHT NOW, it really just makes me want to go berserk. I'm not going off on anyone - I'm really just venting. Sorry

Take a look at the Toyota Prius. 110 HP, EPA 60 mpg / 51 mpg. Large interior, decent trunk space, built in GPS display. So quiet you can't hear it running in either gas or electric mode. Even comes with an emergency kit. Hmmm.....

A friend has one. I've driven it and am impressed. The constant MPG readout also makes you work at being a more careful driver (careful to get better mileage). She has had it for two years and no problems to date.
