Hi everyone. I'm somewhat new to actual survival training, but have lived in south Louisiana all my life. This place is known by a lot of people as "Sportsman's Paradise" - that is if you don't mind getting wet and muddy. I've always been able to find my way out of a somewhat tight situation (thank you, God), and I have somehow been able to use what the environment offers me when I see the need. I guess it's in my blood (as mostly anyone's) as a Louisianian.
I'm looking forward to learning a lot from you guys. I've already browsed through several threads looking at pictures and learning different techniques on traps, rafts, etc.
I really like Bear Grylls and Les Stroud. Some people think these guys aren't actually doing what TV shows, but I, personally, don't care. Anyone who can offer me tips, knowledge, and information on how to live off the land and conquer any obstacle with the obvious training and/or background in being able to do so gets my respect - as will anyone here in the forums.
I hope I didn't sound too snub on my first post as an introduction, but I just wanted to get the hello out there with a little bit extra. As stated above, I'm looking forward to learning from you guys.![]()
