Knife Angel Sculpture in UK

[Faiaoga]

A British sculptor has made a 27 foot high sculpture of a standing angel from knives surrendered in Britain. A program with the slogan Save a Life, Surrender your Knife has accepted knives from the public and the knives have been used to produce this sculpture.

The idea behind it is kind of flaky/stupid but I gotta admit, that's a pretty sweet sculpture! The Iron Throne is like a porta-potty compared to that thing!

That concept does not work over there any better than the "turn in your gun" drives do over here.

London just passed NYC in murders committed in 2018.

(I have always thought the rates were more close than the British press reported with many murders reported as accidents or suicides.)

Much of their murder is knife related, but over there they seem to prefer running people down with cars and do not seem to mind taking out 4-5 people at a bus stop to get the guy they are after.

The present push is probably due to their desire to introduce new and more restrictive knife laws. As it is now no folder over 10cm is allowed, no lock blade folders, and pocket knives are only tolerated if you can show good cause for carrying one.

They have been trying to push their "zombie knife" restrictions, and have passed some import restrictions.

Why? Because they look scary!

After they get the laws passed they will go back to reporting the stabbings and throat cuttings as accidents and suicides, and praise the efficiency of the new restrictions.

Using automobiles as weapons is becoming all the rage. Odd that no one is talking about banning them. Some guy just ran down a bunch of people in Germany killing 2 and injuring 20 then he shot himself! I guess he was in fear of those stringent German gun laws.
