Slow day. I thought I'd share this. Two weeks ago last Monday I was bitten by a wolf spider on the upper stomach. You can have worse things happen to you. The bite turned out to be about the size of a goose egg but the interesting thing is I didn't feel anything at any time. Not even when the little beggar nailed me. A bit tiring since I spend all night outside howling at the moon but that aside...(barump bump) it still has not healed completely but almost. I happened to be at the doctors a couple of days after the bite and he looked at it. He told me to apply an antibiotic ointment to it because the worst thing about a wolf spider bite is they are very susceptible to staph infections. Who knew? There was quite a bit of venom injected. That's the reason it was so large. It was nearly two weeks before I could actually see the fang marks. Anyway, if you suddenly have a large read splotch that doesn't hurt or itch then you have probably been bitten. Just keep an antibiotic on it. This isn't me but this is what they look like:
