Who hasn't used a wire hanger to make do. I was culling the hanger heard and remembered when there was a time when we used them for antennas for the tv/radio. Holding the tail pipe up. They have come in handy. Y'all have any ideas for uses?

You probably opened a can of worms here.
My latest adaptation of a coat hanger was to form a new fastener for the strap of my bib overalls.
I also like to use them to make the bails for a billy can.
They also make a good cleaning rod for a BB gun or .177 pellet rifle.
If you didn't bring jerky what did I just eat?

I agree....Coat hangers are right up there with:
Metal coffee cans, milk crates, 5 gal buckets, duct tape wire ties and wd-40.
My last use for a coat hanger was to keep a piece of plastic tubing straight (wants to roll back up) on a siphon for removing old gas for 4 wheeler.
Also fishing out a socket from the back side of a car battery...so I didn't have to remove the battery.
I keep a piece folded in half in my tool box.

Y'all had a couple I hadn't thought of or saw before. The wheels are turning, frog gig and hooks.
I hate to admit this but I actually used a couple to hold a gas tank on a 62 ford galaxy. Yeah, it did sway a little. I won't even get into how I tore the tank off. I drove quite a way with no tank believe it or not.
Oh, heck. Anything that requires a stiff wire. An electronics grounding station was my latest bright idea.
True enough, my final home is still out there, but this is most certainly my home range and I love it. I love every rock I fall off and tree I trip over. Even when I am close to dying from exhaustion, a beautiful sunset doesn't lose it's power to refresh and inspire me and that, in itself, is enough to save me sometimes.

the straight part makes a decent spotter bit, I've used them a lot for spotting holes through carpeted floors when cutting in a hvac system.
so the definition of a criminal is someone who breaks the law and you want me to believe that somehow more laws make less criminals?
I tried putting sockets on them, but I always seemed to want the one in the middle.
Now those just go in the Socket Drawer in one of the several plastic parts drawer units on the workbench.

Just put the 1/2-/9/16 on one end....then the 3/8-7/16 on the other...all the other stuff goes in between them....
