Question??? Are most of the membership on here Judgers or other types? That would be a good thing to know to get a good profile of those that are most likely to be interested in wilderness/outdoor survival. Secondly, out of all the bonefide personality types (according to Briggs Meyers) which personality would be the best at outdoor survival, the worst, so so, Whom are teachers, loners, groupies, etc. etc.

Haven't figured out how to do a poll yet. Maybe I should start a poll. Hmm. Rick, How do I start a poll?

i'm lefthanded, but my treads wore out long ago.

ridge, i'd say there are quite a few on here with a strong lean towards the thinking-perceiving. it seems to be a mixed bag in those terms.

Are INTP's really that rare? I also scored in this category, as well as being left handed.

I consider myself a "social introvert", meaning I have no problem socializing but I prefer quiet and solace. People often talk to me and I tune them out in favor of my own thought processes or I ignore them if I am already reading something. I cringe at the thought of being around large crowds, but once I am there I have no problems with it. Case and point I argued with my wife for about 3 hours about going to a University graduation, and I ended up losing. I was dreading it and I told her why -- 20,000 people do you know how many people that is? It is going to be a mess and half of them acting the fool!

Well once I was there it wasn't so bad, but luckily I tricked her into leaving early so it worked out well for both of us. I also have no problem getting up and giving a speech or a public discourse. It does not bother me in the slightest. If those things work together to make me socially maladjusted then I guess I should say yes?

Do you have a similar experience Canid?

Socially maladjusted, I can see how INTP's might appear to be such to an observer. I find it odd an INTP would accept such an inaccurate label though.

Although I'm extremely introverted, I don't have problems with crowds or handling people though you will have to pay me to do either because I sure won't volunteer.

I'm very borderline P/J, at home I'm a P, at work I'm a J which is a surprise for those that get close enough to see that.

Actually, I would have been an INTP if the aliens hadn't helped me with the test. Smart little guys, I'll give 'em that.

You are probably a J at work because your work demands that you be a judger. At home, you can relax more and get back into your true personality type of being a perceiver. Very common in the work world btw.

I must say, you nailed the marriage portion. My wife is my sister spirit. My high school sweetheart, my best friend and just one h**l of a person.

I've read what it said about my test results. I still don't really understand it. Where's a shrink when you need one? How important is this stuff anyway?
    1. If it's in your kit and you don't know how to use it....It's useless.

I read what it said about your test results also. It describes you pretty well. You will just have to ask your shrink to explain it to you at your next visit.
Besides, you already know how important this stuff is. It can give a person who studies it a sense for what you are likely to do, how you might go about doing it and who you will probably get along with. No guarantees though. Survival situations tend to make people act a little differently than normal.
You don't have to join PETA to survive in the woods, it just helps.

klkak, you don't have to asterisk that out. AKS is not a bad work. So, it's permissible to say Smart AKS.
