Wow. Essentially, assuming the air is breathable, the categories include shelter, water, food, fuel, orientation devices, medicals, clothes, and tools (including killing devices). By the time I get back to you on this one, I'm sure there are going to be a number of replies. My answer may include items on the lists of others, but I promise to keep my own response original.

IMO you would need the same things that you would "need" in an urban environment. Shelter, food, water, knowledge and skill...... Now, how you satisfy your needs is completely different. Hunting and fishing for protien instead of going to the grocery store. Finding a clean water source instead of just turning on the faucet. Building a shelter instead of renting an apartment. Companionship?????I'll leave that one up to you.

First thing you need to do is have someone insert a straw into your skull and suck out a few essential brain cells, then the stuff them other fellas said. Reason for the first thing is cuz if it all goes to #### on ya, you won't care. and if it goes really well, well good for you.

Nah, I'm just jazzin' ya, there's plenty of good info on the forums here.

    After giving this some thought:

    Quick Answer:

At least one of every item for sale at your local WalMart, except for the food aisles. Take every food item you can find.

    Better Answer:

Shelter: A large coach style camper.

Water: Evian, Aquafina, or Poland Spring.

Food: Take out menus and a cell phone.

    Fuel: Venezuela

    Orientation Devices: Seal Team 2

    Medicals: Mass General

Clothes: Neiman Marcus catalogue and cell phone

Tools (including killing devices): A top quality wine key is a good start.

C'mon Trax! You're probably better prepared than most of us. You know the drill: AMERICAN EXPRESS: DON'T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT!

Or, another option (which I honestly prefer): Seal Team 2 (see my post on Orientation Devices).

good point, getting a report back that says "Venezuala secured for your use, sir!" from a seal team is probably something I'd enjoy a lot more than an Amex bill.

The only thing better would be to have Hugo Chavez keep the generator and the vehicles filled up and clean.

I'll stick with my 2. TDW and TGF are (at times) more then I can handle.
