Serengeti. Loads of animals. Not many people. Year round sunshine. At 21 you're probably a good runner so that's a plus.

It's owned by some Canadians and you'll find English there too. You'll be in the mountains surrounded by many small towns. Nice weather. You'll see many Mayan indians in the streets and selling food in the market there. You may end up with them or teaching english to some rich kids in a remote village.
Plenty of people your age traveling with backpacks from different countries. You will need local friends for help and to keep you safe for what you want to do, but they will be friendly and that should be easy. You should be able to barter for lessons or labor for a place to stay and/or being shown foods and traditional methods if you want.
Sounds like a decent idea! Ill look into it! Thanks

Sweden was my first suggestion. Then there is Siberia....lots of land to roam. Australia, as previously mentioned, is also a great place. Oh yeah...Texas as well. Lots of free land there.....oh wait...never mind, all the open land in Texas is privately owned.

But.....no one on any forum is going to give you the answer you are looking for. People find these places by either exploring and running into them, or other forms of shear luck. Plus you have the added disadvantage of time. If it is a really nice place to survive, then it is either a city now, or a National Park/Forest. Most cities in the western US are in that spot because it was the best place to survive.

Also, if you are worried about the bugs.... maybe you should stay home.

Even if im not going to get a perfect answer its good to have people with more experiance (and possibly more grey hair) than me to give pointers and suggestions. And as for bugs, dont mind them that much, i lived in tusscany Italy for a while and some of those buggers looks alien. Its just the high venomous one e.g black widow that yoy dont stand a chance agaisnt in the wild. Of your bitten you are SCREWED!

    Welshboy,
I am pretty limited in my experience and knowledge of other countries. Seems like edr730 has some pretty good insight. Good luck on your adventure. Please keep us posted.
