i was wanting to put a string of white x-mas lights you know the tiny ones.
any how would a 11watt trickel charger be enough power?
i have a 12v deep cycle marine battry with a 800w inverter
don,t know much about solar so help me out.

We go with solar in camp for 3 months NC. Walmart. Just gotta see the ground. They're pretty cheap.

just went out to the shed and found the trickel charger it,s 5watts not 11 watts and the inverter is 1,000 watts not 800 like i thought.
oh and i do have some solar walkway lights for the patio of the camp yeaa.

I run solar in my camp all year. I use 12 V, 3 W bulbs. I wouldn't recommend using an inverter as it will probably use more power than the lights. I also have 12 V fans on the air tight wood stove (6 W total) and a 60" swing 12 V ceiling fan in the mail room. It only draws 4 W. May sure you use big enough wire so you don't have too much power loss. In my cabin I used 14 g wire. For two reasons:

1. If need I can convert to 120 V
2. Low voltage drop on the 12 V system.

Yep - forgot the candle lanterns. For a relaxing camp, the fewer electric things the better IMO.

We rigged up an old Fisher and Paykell washing machine motor on a windmill. Re-wired it to 24 volts. Free, and they work a treat.

well i crap canned the whole solar idea and chose to use the patio solar lights instead.
seems to work well. krat the camp is a 3season tent set up the 2holer is about 50ft away
as is the waterline too nutin, fancy just nice.
