Default It's Cold Out there! - A Boots in the Field Give Away

'elo everyone! I hope this post finds you well this new year. It has been some time since I have visited to partake in the festivities. We have been growing our family and I put everything into that. Starting to have more time these days and plan on visiting when I can.

This will mimic the first give away http://www.wilderness-survival.net/f...ield-Give-Away

This is a "Boots in the Field Give Away," which means you must actually be in the field to qualify. As I cannot verify you just went to your backyard and snapped a picture I am hoping you all have at least some integrity and are truthful in your post.

I want you to get outside and do something. Go on a hike, go fishing, start a fire and cook a meal on the trail, build a lean-to, just get outside and do something.

    1. You must be 18 years of age or older to participate
    2. You must be in the field
    3. You must submit a picture in this thread, and the picture must be of an activity that has happened after this post.
    4. Your post count must be at least 50
    5. Open to US Residents only (Sorry I cannot afford shipping otherwise)
    6. All entries must be made prior to March 1st 2015 and then I will draw three names from said entries

Oh, I guess you all would like to know what the give away is for....

Can't wait for the weather to level out in my neck o' the woods.
I'll definitely post a pic of me and my nephews next outing!
    Thank you for the opportunity!

Well, kinda. He started the post today but entries must be submitted by March 1, 2013. You gotta read the fine print man!

I am sure that was a typo. Seriously Roar-K, it is a cool thing for you to do. Boots in the field are always a good thing.

Oops...I have baby brain still it seems. Thank you for catching that! It's cold out there I know, but do you always think when a disaster happens you are going to be out in perfect conditions? It would be pretty fantastic if we got stranded on an island that just happened to be where the Victoria's Secret super models were stranded in their yacht full of food for a year......

Get out there and do something!

It's all in perspective. For me it would be heaven but for them I'm sure it would be he11. Once rescued I'd have to be treated for all the little round bruises where they had been poking me with a ten foot pole.

our oldest just turned two and we have a 5 month old. The wife is in school for her master's and once she is out in December she wants another one! After she graduates we are looking to start the homestead as well... Big changes coming our way and I welcome them.

Dang it all. I was scheduled to go camping and ice fishing this weekend with the scouts, but business has made it so I have to cancel.

Oh wait....March 1st. I am going in February as well. We should be pulling sleds though, no ice fishing.

I really hope I have some good competition.

I will be doing an outing in February as well and will post pictures. People, have fun with it! Learn a new skill, practice an old one, or just enjoy yourself and relax!

Took my son out into the woods last week and he wanted to build a teepee with Daddy. We had a blast building it with the sticks and he helped set them up. Little boy is my world.
